　　作为少数拥有全职讣闻作者的媒体，《纽约时报》讣闻版的主题既可以是知名人物如David Bowie，也可以是独自划船横渡大西洋和太平洋的无名英雄。无论对象是谁，编辑室的讣闻作者都会倾力收集这些人物的资料，联系他们的家人朋友，确认所有信息正确无误，和每天晚上的截稿时间赛跑。
