◎简　　介

　　2005年7月4日，美国独立日当天，沉浸在欢乐气氛的得州亚比里安市人民突然迎来巨大灾难。一个带着死亡气息的蘑菇云在市中心升起，亚比里安从此在地球上消失。这一事件引发了针对伊朗、叙利亚、北朝和阿富汗的第三次世界大战。战争在美国境内引起一系列的问题，能源短缺、人权侵害、种族主义、极端主义、政治动荡……全美上下一片混乱。

　　在2008年大选之际，与共和党有着千丝万缕关系的动作明星鲍克瑟·桑塔罗斯（巨石强森 Dwayne Johnson The Rock 饰）失踪，当他再次出现时却已失去记忆。不久，他邂逅色情片女明星克瑞斯塔·瑙（莎拉·米歇尔·盖拉 Sarah Michelle Gellar 饰），一个攸关全人类命运的故事就此展开……
